How to set up a QR code standee for event photos
Print an A4 poster for a stand near the entrance or the stage, and A5 cards for the tables and the bar. On plans that include face search, use the Find my photos link, so each guest sees only themselves. Scan the printed code once before the event, and tell guests when the photos will be ready.

Pick the size
- A4 poster: for a stand or a wall, where people queue or wait.
- A5 table card: for tables and the bar, where guests sit long enough to scan.
Pick the link
Find my photos suits most weddings, on plans that include face search: each guest sees only the photos their selfie matched. Choose Whole album when everyone should be able to browse the whole event. The Standee dialog starts on Find my photos.
Where to put it
- Near the entrance or the welcome board, where everyone passes.
- Beside the stage or the photo booth, where people are already thinking about photos.
- On the tables and the bar, for the long parts of the evening.
Before you print
- Scan the printed code with a phone to check that it opens the gallery.
- Don’t make a new link after printing: the old link stops working, and so does every printed code.
- If the gallery has a PIN, decide how guests will get it, for example from the hosts.
- Upload a first set of photos before guests scan, so there’s something to find. Face search opens once the first photos are ready.
What to tell guests
A line from the hosts or the MC helps: scan the code, take a selfie in good light, and see your photos. Guests need no app or account, and they’re asked before any face search.
After the event
Send the same link on WhatsApp for guests who left early. It opens the same gallery.
Questions
Do guests need an app or an account?
No. The gallery opens in the phone’s browser, and guests don’t install anything or sign up. On plans that include guest registration, a photographer can ask for a name and phone number before guests search.
What happens to a guest’s selfie?
It’s used for one search and deleted as soon as that search has run. No face data from the selfie is stored. Every guest is asked before the camera opens, and anyone who says no is never searched.
